Happiness Project

I often listen to NPR and other podcasts on my MP3 player while I exercise or at night when I get into bed. Last night I had the pleasure of discovering Gretchen Rubin and her book The Happiness Project. This morning I discover she also has a blog.

Now....I am basically a happy person, but---Hey, couldn't we all use a few tools for staying that way? One tip she mentioned last night is that spending money on "stuff" is less likely to provide happiness than an "event" or experience. She means an experience like an outing, a trip, etc.

I can vouch for that. Husband and I are planning a trip to England in May. I find a lot of happiness in planning, going, and then reminiscing.
